Vast Improvements in version 5.0
Common Enhancements
- New - Default Theme - If your Novo software is set to the Default Theme, you will see the new theme after you upgrade. If you happened to like the old Default theme, it has been recreated as the Royal Blue theme.
- New - Add attachments directly to the Store for use in any of the following 5 areas of the Novo app (Accounts, Contacts, Asset Management, Knowledge Management and Request Management) or, if for all areas, add it to the Common Store. When attaching a file, you’ll see the Attachment Store button. Press it to associate one of the stored files. By the way, we added the ability to select up to 5 files before uploading. See Attachment Store for more info.
- New - jQuery Drag and Drop Field Ordering for All forms; this makes editing Request Templates and selected other lists much easier to manage.
- Enhancements
- We added date/time to attachment row in the Attachments section
- Changed outgoing link creation method to use the Config Tool's AppHostname value
- Consolidated the display of Assigned Users on the Workflow Task Management page
- Improved the display of Pie Chart and Bar Chart labels

Asset Management
- New - Asset Custom Rules - We provided a facility to create Custom Rules for Assets and we added the ability to select date/time UDFs as Timer conditions so, if you also have the Request Management application, you can automatically create requests or send notifications based on some timer event like a scheduled maintenance date or Warranty expiration date.
- New - Ability to create Asset Templates - Display alternate information on the Edit Asset form for Assets of a different type
- New - Ability to copy an Asset
- Click “Copy Asset” on the Asset Edit window
- Add the Quantity for scenarios where you want to add multiple similar assets; also you can set which pre defined or user defined values should be duplicated
- New - Ability to view User Defined Field information on viewassets.asp
Request Management
- New - We added a new filter for Accounts on admincases.asp
- New - We added the ability to search through ticket attachments
- New - Logging Status Changes (for SLA Tracking) - Select Ignore SLA for statuses where the support organization will not have the responsibility for the request and a long time wait could breech a contract (i.e.: waiting for a customer to respond) ; a new Status Changes section has been added to Request Reports to easily track “Time on Status”.

Known Issues
- The Find feature in HTML Mode within the editor does not work using Firefox
- The Find feature within the editor does not work at all for Windows IE 11
- The Replace All feature in the Editor's Find feature does not work using Chrome
- Copying and pasting a relative link will cause the HTML Editor to reformat the URL to an incorrect destination
- Editing an article where there are <br></br> pairings will cause the distance between lines to grow by duplicating the pairing.
