Editing WorkFlows & Tasks through Workflows Page

Purpose: To edit workflows and tasks through the Workflows section of Novo.

Prerequisites: Novo initial software setting, Module Configuration.

Steps:
  1. Click the WorkFlows Admin Menu button.
  2. From this page, you can proceed with the modification of either a Task or a WorkFlow.
    • To edit a Task:
      • Click either the Ticket Tasks or Article Tasks link.
      • Click the Edit icon to the left of the task to be edited. The Edit Task form will be displayed.
    • To edit a WorkFlow:
      • Select a target WorkFlow from the list and then click the Edit icon to display the WorkFlow Tasks screen.
      • Click the Edit icon next to the target Task.

Then, if necessary, you can continue with closing, rejecting, or adding notes to tasks. First the user must click on either Ticket Tasks or Article tasks then proceed in doing the following:

  • To delete a task, check the box to the left of the Task and then click .
  • Click the icon to close the task, i.e. to assign the Completed status to it.
  • Click the icon to open the Add Note window. Enter your notes in the Description box and click Save.

Note: You can use the Add Note window to reject a task by checking the Reject box and then clicking Save. However, you won't succeed unless some kind of comment describing the reason for having to reject the task is entered into the Description box.
