Manage Assets Page

Click the Assets tab to display the Manage Assets page.  If the Assets link is not present, browse to Admin->Setup->Core/General->Settings.  Scroll down to the Other section check "Enable Asset Management."  From here you can add, edit, delete, or search Assets.  You have the ability to display all or specific Assets based on the values entered in the individual filters. Selected columns of information can be displayed or hidden base on user preferences. 

If you don't need to display every Asset you can use the Filters to display specific Assets.  To display specific Assets, select a value for the desired filter(s) then clik the Apply filters button.  You can filter the Asset list with the following filters:

  • Asset Type
  • Location
  • Status
  • Group
  • Owner
  • Form Template

You can perform the various functions with the following buttons:

  • The Delete button allows you to delete an Asset.  Once an Asset is deleted it cannot be recovered unless you backed up your database and restore the backup.
  • The checkbox is used in conjunction with the Delete button.  To delete an Asset check the box for the desired Asset then click the Delete button.
  • The Copy button allows you to create another cpy of the Asset.  The new Asset will have its own unique ID.
  • The View button allows you to see the Asset in a non-edit mode.
  • The Notes button allows you to see the Notes associated with the Asset.  From here you can add a new Note or edit an existing Note.
  • The Tasks button allows you to see Tasks associated with the Asset.  From here you can add a new Task or Workflow.  You can also edit existing Tasks.
  • The Related Requests button allows you to see Requests associated with the Asset.
  • The Add a Request button allows you to add a Request for the Asset.
  • The Print Asset button allows you to print the Asset.
  • The Print button (to the right of the Excel button) allows you to priint the Asset list on the Manage Assets page.
  • The Excel button allows you to export the Asset list to Excel

 

 

 

Each Admin User has the ability to display specific information based on their work or personal preference. By default all predefined and user defined fields are displayed on the Manage Assets page.
