Setting | Description |
Display Assets on Request Form | - None - Requests cannot be assigned to any assets as related.
- Admin - If this option is selected, assets can be assigned to Requests from the Related Assets section on the Edit Request form on the admin application part.
- If the Admin and Public option is selected, assets can be assigned to Requests from the Related Assets section on the Edit Request form on the administrationpart and the list of assets assigned to a contact or to its account will be displayed on the Add Request form of the application’s public part.

Enable Public Asset Detail View | Check/uncheck this box to enable/disable the public users to view asset detail. |
Enable Public Asset Request History | Check/uncheck this box to enable/disable the public users to view asset tickt history. |
Enable Auto Asset Codes | If this box is checked, the system will automatically assign codes to assets. |
Starting Asset Code # | In this field you can enter the starting code, if the above option is enabled. Values in the Asset Code field are generated automatically in compliance with the following rules: - if there are no assets with an integer Asset Code greater than the Starting Asset Code #, new added Asset Code value will be Starting Asset Code # + 1
- otherwise, it’s automatically incremented.

Display Groups | Check/uncheck this box to enable/disable the use of groups throughout the Asset Management module. |
Display Locations | Check/uncheck this box to enable/disable the use of locations throughout the Asset Management module. |
Display Asset Types | Check/uncheck this box to enable/disable the use of asset types throughout the Asset Management module. |
Display Statuses | Check/uncheck this box to enable/disable the use of statuses throughout the Asset Management module |
Display Assignment | Check/uncheck this box to show/hide the Owner column in the Assets main grid. |
Number of Assets on the page | Specify the number of asset entries you want to see on one page. |
Notes - Wrap Text at (pixels) | Wrap Text at (pixels) - Enter the width of text displayed for notes. |
Notes - Truncate Display to (characters) | Enter the number of character to truncate the text of notes displayed on the Edit Asset form |
Enable Natural Language in Asset Search | Mark this check box to enable the natural language.Natural Language is used to filter out common words (managed by the systems administrator) used in sentence construction that are unlikely to affect the search. For example searching for bandwidth and usage without Natural Language enabled, the system would find any document that had the word bandwidth in it or the word and or the phrase usage. |
Enable Thesaurus in Asset Search | Check this box to activate the thesaurus when searching for assets.The Thesaurus lets you create a managed list of words and synonyms. This can be useful when more than one term is used to describe something or when the same thing is known by different names by different project streams. |
Default Request Search Action | From the dropdown list, select an option to apply to the search string entered in the search box. Available are the following options: - All of the words entered
- Any of the words entered

Default Template | Allows you to select a default Asset template. When you add a new Asset, this template will be displayed by default. |
