Step 4 - Configuring Smart Tags

Purpose: Enable/Disable a Predefined or User Defined Field (UDF) as a smart tag

Prerequisites:  

  • Novo Mail Service purchase
  • Novo Mail Service is licensed
  • Novo Mail Service is enabled in Admin>Setup>Core/General>Settings
  • Smart Tags are enabled in Admin>Setup>Core/General>Incoming Email Settings

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Admin>Setup>Requests>Mail Smart Tags
  2. Click the edit icon  to the left of the field you want to enable or disable. 







    Note: All Predefined fields are enabled by default

  3. Check the box that appears in the Enable column
  4. Click the Update button
What happens now? ....
 
The edited Smart Tag is now enabled and and can be updated via email; (see the related article How to update Requests using Smart Tags).
