Enabling the Timer Option for Automated Functions

To enable the Timer option for Custom Rules, Memorized Requests, Active Directory refreshes, and KnowledgeBase Subscriptions, you first need to use the Task Manager in Windows to schedule a task to run the appropriate batch file periodically (for example, 1–5 minutes) so it checks whether the Timer Condition for triggering an Action has been met.

This table shows the available batch files that can be run and their corresponding functions:
Batch file Automated Function
runtimerudr.bat runs timer based rules
runmemorized.bat  creates Memorized Requests that are scheduled
sendsubscribe.bat sends KnowledgeBase subscriptions
refreshad.bat refreshes Active Directory contacts
runassetmanagement.bat refreshes the database with Hardware and Software information from PC Inventory XML files

Use the same steps to create a Windows Scheduled Task as those in the related article below.
