Step 4: Approve the Article - Content Approval Options

Purpose: To Outline Content Approval WorkFlows Methods

Prerequisites:  Knowledge Base Enterprise Edition; Knowledge Base WorkFlows must be purchased to use the WorkFlow module
 
Steps:
 
Organizations that use the Novo Knowledge Base may require some method of content approval before Articles are published to the public. There are three typical methods for this described below. The related articles below this article will provide configuration and usage tip for these.
  1. Approve Article Feature - The Enterprise Edition of the software comes with an Approve Articles feature. When this is enabled in Knowledge Base Settings, the application will automatically send a notification to admin users who have an approval role within a set group.
  2. Custom Rules - Ad hoc rules can be created to fit the needs of most companies
  3. Knowledge Base WorkFlow Module - An approval chain can be instantiated by a custom rule when an article is saved and a set condition is met
