Setup PC Inventory File System
The Novo Solutions PC Inventory module allows you to take advantage of Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) in order to acquire system data for Windows Vista (and earlier). The new version of Novo will require you to make a few changes with regard to this module, and database tables if you've upgraded. - Browse to NovoRoot
- Rename pc_inventory directory
Note:You may want to unshare the pc_inventory"current directory prior to renaming. - Go into NovoRoot/app and copy pc_inventory to Novo root
- Recreate share
Clear out PC Inventory Tables

In order to for the updated PC Inventory to work correctly, please clear out the PC Inventory tables by running the following against your Novo database: - DELETE from AM_PC2Customers
- DELETE from AM_PC_Software
Note: This will not affect your Asset records. |
