Create a Scheduled Task to Run Custom Timer Rules
Purpose: Schedule a Windows Task to run runtimerudr.bat.
Prerequisites: None
Steps:
Note: All Timer Rules for Assets, Articles and Requests are affected by the runtimerudr.bat file. Scheduling this batch file will run enabled Timer Rules for all of these applications.
To enable the Timer option for Custom Rules, you will need to use the Task Manager in Windows to schedule a task to run the runtimerudr.bat file periodically (for example, 1–5 minutes).
- Create the Add Scheduled Task IAW your Windows Web Server's OS. See the link below for Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012:
- Point the Task to run the following file: {Drive}:\{NovoFileFolder}\NovoScripts\runtimerudr.bat
- Ensure the task is scheduled to run daily every 1 or 5 minutes (or as often as you would like timed Custom Rules to run).
- Ensure the user name and password needed to run this task are correct.
