How to Edit Request Templates

Purpose: To edit a Request template.  Allows you to add, remove, or move fields on an existing Request template to meet changing organizational needs.

Prerequisites: Admin Users must have "Manage Requests Form Templates" checked in their respective Role.

Steps:

  1. Click Admin->Setup->Request Templates.
  2. Verify Requests on the menu bar is selected.

  3. Click the Edit icon located far left in each template row.  In the Edit Template screen that opens, you can change the template's name and define whether this template should appear in Admin and Public views.
  4. Click the Field Ordering icon to open the Field Ordering screen for the current template.

  5. Click the Disable button in each Request attribute row to remove the respective field from the template.  The Disable button will be replaced by the Enable button .
  6. Click the Enable button  to reactivate the hidden field.
  7. Beginning with version 5.0 the field ordering icons have been replaced with the drag-and-drop method.  To reposition a field, place your cursor on a row until it turns into a 4-headed arrow.  Hold down the left mouse button and drag the field to its new position then release the left mouse button.
