Using the Print Feature

Purpose: To print an article with/without subarticles.

Prerequisites: Printer connection, Articles created.
 
Steps:
Printing the Current Article
  1. Click on the Print print article icon  icon to print the current article only.
  2. A pop-up window appears with the selected article displayed.  Then a standard, print dialog box appears in which you specify your print parameters. 
  3. Select the parameters as needed, then click the Print button.  The print dialog box disappears. 
  4. Close the pop-up window at any time after you start the print.

Printing the Current Article and All Sub-articles

  1. Click on the Print Current Article and All Sub-articles print articles/sub-articles icon  icon to print all information related to the current article.
  2. A pop-up window appears with the selected article displayed.  Then a standard, print dialog box appears in which you specify your print parameters. 
  3. Select the parameters as needed, then click the Print button.  The print dialog box disappears. 
  4. Close the pop-up window at any time after you start the print.

Previewing the Article(s) Before Printing

  1. Click on the Print print article icon  icon or the Print Current Article and All Sub-articles print articles/sub-articles icon  icon to start the process.
  2. When the standard print dialog box appears, click on the Cancel button to prevent printing.
  3. Click on the File menu, then select the Print Preview menu item.  A new window opens in which the article appears as it will print. 
  4. Examine the article to ensure that it contains the information you need, that all print and graphics are visible (not clipped), formatted the way you need, and so on.
  5. When you are satisfied with the article, click on the File menu, then select the Print menu item.
  6. The standard, print dialog box appears in which you specify your print parameters. 
  7. Select the parameters as needed, then click the Print button.  The print dialog box disappears. 
  8. Close the pop-up window at any time after you start the print.
